Hey BMF,
You wouldn't happen to be a TMD instructor, would you? We have a whole passle of GP old styles (concrete filled 500 to 2000 lbs) down in a big mud pit, and are innaccessable by backhoe (too muddy). I would like to appear to be the genius of the group by coming up with a solution but rigging and digging was a long time ago. Would you happen to know of a source of info on the subject?

No I'm stuck in the B/C Div. It's a little known fact that in Area 8 they do more rigging than the rest of the whole school combined(BTDT got the t-shirt.)
I'd just get down in the muck and tie off to lugs or whatever (timber hitch), tie into your back hoe/truck and heave away.
Make sure you use HEAVY DUTY line. Line part can be a serious safety concern. (cut 'cha in half)
The 60 series has some more info in the general underwater pub. You should have access on that cd thingy. (that is if you're not some terrorist pig fucker trying to gouge me for info!)
Do you have any Navy dets around? We actually specialize on pulling heavy shit.
Can you say picket-hold-fast!
Need any chem info?

Thanx BMF, I believe we are going to do the old block and tackle routine and screw with it till it works (in true EOD fashion of course). Terrorist pig fucker? Isn't that supposed to be hyphenated? Thanx, but no, I have all the chem, bio, nuc, WMD knowledge my fragile little brain bucket can hold...Hah, take care and stay safe!

Well ya' know I have to remind myself just how "open" this site is.
Good luck with the op. Do take a look in the 60 series underwater pub. It's a wealth of good info on rigging.
Stay safe,
BMF
