In your experiences have their been any women EOD operators? How many?
How did they fare overall? What were the common weaknesses/ strengths?
Any info would be appreciated...

BMF? If you dare!
tough question= honest answer
Yes there has been a few female EOD techs. I have only really worked closely with one so my opinion is somewhat limited. (she absolutely sucked ass). I have seen a few female students come through and none have been better than mediocre.
However, I have been out ran and out swam by a few female triathelete types and am positive there our females out there who could do this job better than me. I just haven't had the contact with one yet.
Weakness? I suppose it would be they worry more about gender rather than performance.

I know several women EOD types, like men, some are true professionals and some are sh*t heads. It's a hard job, yes physcal, but also mental, most do just fine if they survive the school.

Yes, I've a couple in the AF and I know one that is married to another EOD troop. They are there just few and far between.
