What exactly is the pressure test?
(for SEAL/EOD/Diver canidates)
Im assuming they increase the pressure to simulate diving... how fast how much do they increase it?

Is this a difficult test or just a technicallity to make sure your ears wont explode when you jump in a swimming pool?

appreciate any info,
jaf

The pressure test is a simulated dive inside of a hyperbaric chamber (see picture). The purpose is to see your bodies (mostly your ears) reaction to the increase and decreases in pressure. Its not a big deal- the hardest thing is scheduling it. I had the pressure test waived because there was no chamber around where I screened. It was the first thing they did when I got to Dive School though.
