While "air" decompression sickness is possible and does occur, it is extremely rare and is limited almost exclusively to aircrew personnel at high altitudes.

You can not get them driving anywhere.

The layman may refer to HAPE (high altitude pulmonary edema) as the bends. It is not real common, but a hypebaric medical person will be familar with it.
