External training for 18D's

Anyone been to OEMS or CONTOMs and had your unit pay for it. I've been digging for civilian tac-medic schools but budget always goes for bullets. Y'know we aren't important till the CSM burns in on a jump.

I believe ur an 18D?? Forget CONTOMS, it is way to basic for ya...Although any training is better than none,particularly since u are spending most of ur time deployed, huh??
OEMS is another story, but I hear nowadays it is real hard to get in to...Seems like the Boys have most of the slots,from what I heard. Although a guy who was my partner in the Reserves got a slot about a year ago...Figure that one out!! I do know Group will send you, it's in ATTRS. It is an outstanding program. The best schooling I had since Bragg.
I am assuming you have been to ATLS. If not go, go again, and then go again if trauma is ur thing.

Hey MP18D...

What's OEMS? I tried a web search, but there are eighteen gazillon Office of Emergency Medical Services (or variations..) Mind dropping me a clue, if it isn't a sekrit?
