All,
When I was at Ft Bragg a few years back, one of the PA's showed me a HUGE rucksack, camo in color with a bunch of pockets in it. He said it was a medical specific item, not something else adapted for medical use. He carried everything in there, from meds to collars to everything else.
Anyone know what Im talking about and know who made it?
Thanks!

GG,
Nope, that wasnt it.
Never heard of Group 5. What did they make?

All,
The bag I saw wasnt a BH or LBT bag, I have researched them, and they werent it.
The quest continues....
I had an airborne medic's ruck. It was a large green ALICE with my aidbag inside (or on top) of it.

Nope, wasnt the medic bag with the 6 pockets either. Our medics have them and CMVS's.
I think GG has the best lead on it..

Was it one of the toys from Blackhawk?

Just built a new pack for the 82d. It is pretty good sized and rigged for jumping.

I have been very impressed with ProMed's gear. Was it their ruck?

The owner was a PJ and set this ruck up from his experience. Worth checking out at least.

I know that this is an old thread, but I am curious if anyone has any experience and/or comments on this aid bag. I am currently using the London Bridge NSW bag, but it has nowhere near the capacity of this bag. I realize that as an inexperienced medic I may be falling into the trap of trying to carry too much gear. Has anyone had any first hand experience with this platform, particularly with regards to durability? Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

i may have missed it in the thread, what are you trying to do with the kit?
(jump, urban, rural operations) i have some real good leads for you as i have used quite a few and have a guy on the west coast that lets you design and he builds. does awesome work. had him re mod my kit before i left to adapt to the operation. would be willing to help if i can. but GG and the rest are more than likely way ahead of me.

Team5Medic:
I am a medic attached to a combat engineer batallion getting ready to head over to the sandbox for the first time. I believe that we will be in an urban environment with a high probability of contact with IEDs. My main concern is being able to carry enough gear for both medical casualties and mass casualty trauma situations and having a pack that allows me to have everything readily organized for easy and quick access. As I mentioned earlier I am an inexperienced medic, and we have been provided little guidance wrt what we will need and how to pack the bag (have no PA attached, and only one medic with experience in Iraq who was performing a different type of mission). I am not a Spec Ops type, so jump capability is not an issue at this time. Again I would be grateful for any and all guidance and advice.

The STOMP bag from Blackhawk is in the supply chain NSN 6530-01-452-3226 and works fairly well over here. Add duct tape and plastic wrap to your list.
