I have been waiting for well over two and a half years for an M11 holster from Brigade Gunleather. Last June I was informed that my order was in the final process and that shipping was about to be delayed due to the credit card on file being expired. Considering that at that point I had waited for over two years, the card that I gave them when I ordered the holster was indeed expired. I called them the last week of June and gave them my new billing and shipping information. I receved another email in mid August stating; "We want to give you an update and let you know that your order is further along in the shop and is getting closer to shipping. We do build our holsters carefully and with pride. We greatly appreciate your patience and you will be notified via email when it does ship in the next week or two."

I have tried to call the shop for the last two weeks and I have sent emails with no response. Does anyone know of another way to contact these guys? I have waited patiently because I believe that the M-11 holster is EXACTLY what I need... but... well... at this point I don't know what to think.

Sounds like a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. 2 1/2 years for a holster? Ridiculous and not a company I'd want to do business with.

To be fair, until they charged my card they were doing alright. They had basically let everyone know that their backlog had gotten out of hand and had stopped taking orders. Many people canceled their order but I decided to let it ride as they had yet to charge me anything. The problem is that now they have charged my card over four moths ago without shipping the holster. Worse yet... they have stopped communicating with me.

I would get the contact number from the credit card company for the company that charged you. This way you can call them directly. If they have no word about your order or can offer no resolution immediately refute the charge with yhour card company and provide all documentation to have charges reversed.

Then get a holster from someone else.

Funny, they say on the FAQ page that they dont bill your card until the order actually ships. Sounds like more than just a case of backlogged with too many orders for a 3 man shop.

Well... that IS indeed what they say... it appears however that what they say isn't necessarily what they DO.

This is already in the works. In fact, I contacted the credit card company before I actually paid the bill that had this charge on it. They assured me that I could dispute the charge even after I had paid it. I wasn't all that concerned at the time because they were at least communicating with me.

Usually means not just backlogged, robbing peter to pay paul. Money so screwed up they are taking new jobs to pay for the materials on long overdue jobs.

Hmmmm... that makes sense. I guess I'll be disputing the charges.

Unfortunately not an uncommon occurrence when dealing with highly skilled craftsmen, great at what they do, not a clue how to run a business.
