ROFLMFAO

"zing" is the sound of his rounds ricocheting off the target frame?

Gooch 28 August 2013 16:37

I guess you can call it "blank" it would be more accurate to refer to it as "missing" since it was blown into oblivion... Reprobate... :-)

Jobs are getting a bit tight these days for sure. Much tighter than my shot group.

Gooch 28 August 2013 16:48

I've been seeing some openings in range operations floating around. I applied for one at Ft Sill. Actually seen some simulator operator jobs too. Rumor has it that General Dynamics is going to announce some Stryker trainer jobs soon too. Old friend of mine is working for them now at Ft Lewis.

Gsniper 28 August 2013 16:50

Peck was doing one of those simulator jobs for a couple of years, but he got bored with it and moved on. I'm still a by the day gun 'ho. Jobs are just getting scarcer and scarcer. I hate to even say it, but sooner or later I might have to go get a regular guy job.

In the immortal words of our newest MOH recipient, "I sucked as a civilian." I've worked at Walmart selling sporting goods and it wasn't too bad. The locals are pretty cool. Only problem is I live out here in the boonies in a small village and the only options are Dollar Store and Dollar General and fast food. I'm 55 now and unfortunately the "old dog, new tricks" syndrome is beginning to evidence itself. I do suck as a civilian. :-)

Gsniper 28 August 2013 17:25

I hear ya. I took a job as a civilian security guard at an Army ammunition plant the year I retired and it was a colossal fail. I'm not anti-civilian, I'm just anti-me-having-to-deal-with-them-daily.

I'm still getting by fine doing by the day contract work teaching firearms and driving, but it's spotty and getting spottier.

devildog1975 8 March 2014 23:35

Did they open Stryker trainer jobs yet?
