Job overview:

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for purchase orders (PO), build of materials (BOM), ensuring proper documentation in inventory software tracking program, receiving and shipping (to include return material authorizationís (RMAís) and return to vendorís (RTVís)), overseeing warehouse operations, supply vendor meetings, exploring new avenues of cost savings and providing accurate inventory reports on a weekly basis.

Job Description:

- Ensure inventory tracking software and actual inventory match accordingly
- Conduct quarterly cycle counts of inventory
- Able to speak with authority on POís, BOMís, RMAís, RTVís, and where in the logistic chain product sits
- Able to work with vendors to forecast, prevent or negate any long lead time parts
- Able to proficiently use Word, Excel, and inventory control software (experience with Fishbowl Inventory software is preferable)
- Able to effectively communicate with department heads (product R&D, IT, software developer, system testers) to understand their needs
- Support development of new or existing projects
- 5 years of experience in logistics over sight and management
- Bachelorís degree in Business Management/Distribution and Logistics Management or equivalent military experience
- Proven ability to consolidate large amounts of complex data and make recommendations to steam line the logistics pipeline
- Strategic thinking and collaborative approach on problems large and small
- Ability to communicate with different parts of the business, including IT security, R&D department, both in house and outside manufacturing, software and hardware departments, sales, and human resources
- Ability to be organized, prioritize work and a self-starter.
- Proven record of maintaining accountability of top dollar equipment
