Came across this article, from March 1963 Saturday Evening Post. Just ordered a hard copy from Ebay as well.

Good article about Special Forces in Vietnam.

Ironic that the issue also features a story about Jane Fonda.

This is 1963.

JANE FONDA an North Viet Nam she was a left wing bitch. She went to North Viet Nam an kissed their ASS, I remember some of the pictures of her being there. They have her picture in their Museum. :mad: :frown:

She put down the America People an our Military.

Not to derail the thread, but I had to pass a board of officers prior to attending flight school. The one question I remember, and it may have the only question, was "Do I know that I will likely be going to VN."

The first Marines to land in Vietnam was back in the late 1800'st IT was not Vietnam at the time if I remember right. But it could have been. I will try an find some old History Book I got some where dated from the late 1890's

Correct. Prior to end of WWII, 1950s, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia was Indochine. French colonies.

And Thailand was Kingdom of Siam.

Myanmar was Burma (that changed in 1980s).

Sri Lanka was Ceylon.

Was that way until until after WWII.
