Well Deserved. I am glad to see that finally the heroics of these service members are justly being acknowledged. Too many previous members of the fighting forces over the last 13 years have not been given the appropriate recognition for their actions in combat. Job well done Soldier!

Agree, very cool. I saw he also has his EIB, but gets a CAB? Seems odd to me, that he can test for EIB but not get a CIB when merited. I understand he's not an 11-series.

Probably a stupid question on my part.

The book "The Outpost", written by Jake Tapper, will infuriate any veteran reading it. Accompanying those MoH should be court-martials for the brass keeping them there for year after year.

Congratulations, SSG Carter.

Only 11 and 18 series can earn the CIB. Medical personnel in specific duty positions earn the CMB. Personnel from other MOS fields can earn the EIB in garrison, and earn the CAB in combat. Oh, and as for the EFMB...honestly, no one cares.

BZ to Carter!

Congratulations, SSG Carter.
Netflix episode on his actions at COB Keating. Outstanding job.

And yes, whoever decided to put a COB in an area surrounded by high ground on three sides should have been held accountable!
