I was wondering if anyone found out if the guy was a forward observer or not.
and since were talking abou security detail I once had the honor of roving guard at the small air strip in Bamberg Germany when Gen. Vunno the Army Chief of staff came to have thanksgiving dinner at our chow hall with his son who was a O in my unit. I remember it rained all day and was very cold and all I did was walk around with a empty mag and did radio checks ,LOL. I was releived to eat chow but it closed 15 min. after I got there but I did get to see him and I talked with one of his security guys. I was jealous because he had an uzi . I didn't get to eat much but it was cool getting to be a part of that

I was a SOF sniper (SOTIC) and did have an opportunity to support a POTUS visit. It was in Colombia and I missed the entire damn thing because I was busy banging a couple of hookers.

This is a small side question in relation to security for VIP's ETC. The coins that they give out for these things, do they go to everyone involved including the guys that helped put up the gate for the USSS.
Sounds like a FNG question I know, joys of being from another country.
