2 years, now, K2. Shrek and I remembered you the other night. Still wearing your memorial bracelet. Rest easy, brother. See you on the other side.

K2 and Bear

Bear was my brother in law, and K2 was one of my mentors and best friends, we all lost 2 great operators, but, more importantly 2 great men.....over here in the sandbox we still often talk about the stories of K2, and every year toast 2 both, and email K2's wife, reminding her we'll never forget him.

K2 was my C1 on one of my contracts with BW. When MY company had an opportunity to send some guys out, I was going to peg K2 as my PM. My job fell through just as (EDITED) he ended his relationship with BW and, subsequently, went over to work with Tom at Falcon. Unfortunately, I did not know Bear, but my buddy Shrek did and we spoke about both of them again today.

Times flies. It's good to see some of these older threads pop to life now and again. I had just returned from a piss poor excuse for a country on a job that offered challenges and smelled like crap to put it mildly.

Cell buzzes and it's my good friend calling from Bdad with the news. I put the post up and my cell starts blowing up with calls. Dudes were almost in stunned disbelief.

Good man. I certainly remember hearing about K2, and then immediately starting assessing my own mortality. He was much admired and respected.
