Excellent point; I am grateful it's soft tissue right now and not bone.

I'm waiting for my L4-L5 to get bad enough for fusion; I've already got a bulged disc in there. I know it's going out sooner or later.

I always thought they both offered interesting counterpoint. Whether you agreed with them or not their posts were well thought out in playing the Devil's Advocate.

Commas. I am a pretty decent writer when I put some effort into it, but I will never stop fucking up commas.

California: Sanctuary State

We are Moonbeam's signature away from being a sanctuary state. How pathetic this once great state has become.

"U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber made the ruling Friday, in which he granted Chicago's request for a temporary "nationwide" injunction."

We are a joke.

I found out on Sunday that my neighbor--a former Marine who always compliments my lawn and posts US flags along his street--was diagnosed with cancer and had two months to live. I was going to take him some peach cobbler tonight and see how he was holding up. I didn't see the flags posted this morning. I thought he was feeling ill after surgery and hadn't been able to do it. I just got an email informing me that he died this morning. Fuck cancer.

Fuck cancer.

Keep the cobbler and drop off later, if that is how condolences work in AZ.

Talking to an old friend, grew up in the same neighborhood friend, to find out he was stopping by daughter's "Mom's" house to pick something up....

Daughter is 5yo.

He got on the wrong side of the hot/crazy graph.

About ten months ago VA approved one year of acupuncture treatment for aftereffects of throat cancer surgery (dysphagia, loss of salivary glands, etc.). Since VA has no acupuncturists, they approved Veterans Choice for the nearest accredited practitioner app. 70 mi. away. Travel mileage was also approved.

Came home today from acupuncture treatment to two letters from VA stating travel compensation was denied for August & September appts. due to unauthorized treatment. I realized the acupuncturist probably won't be paid either.

Call to VA "Program Support Assistant" who signed letter - Oh, the authorization from my file "disappeared". I had my copy of the authorization, would she want the authorization number etc.? No, she has to have the authorization letter. What about all the previous claims paid under the "disappeared" authorization, doesn't anything indicate it was previously authorized? No, she has to have the original letter.

So now I have to fax my copy of the authorization to the VA to hopefully get this back on track. Good thing we keep every item from the VA in a fat (and growing fatter) file.

Bastards.

I hate the following:

1. 1600 - take four Dulcolax laxative tablets.
2. 1700 - drink 64 ounces of Miralax solution over two hour period.
3. 1900 - drink a refrigerated bottle of Magnesium Citrate

All for my 0700 colonoscopy tomorrow morning!

I hate the prep...not to mention I'm starving!

I had the procedure a few months back. The prep was worse than the procedure itself. I have absolutely no recollection of anything past the point of being wheeled into the room, and laying down on the bed. Like mentioned earlier, you are better off having it done. Good luck.
