I'm sure there's at least a few people in the pipeline that are hoping you miss out on that Wyoming trip.

Just picked this up off of ncwildlife.org:

http://www.ncwildlife.org/News/NewsA...0/Default.aspx

If you live up that way or plan to hunt white tails in Caldwell, Wilkes and/or Surry county, read this first.

Take Care.

Cleaning the muzzleloader and will be resighting same for early deer in October, but more pumped about predator season. We can hunt coyotes 365 here, but fox and raccoon start 3rd week of October until mid Feb. Fur up!

I have been in the woods every week for the last 2 months cutting little lrrp trails for bowhunting. The woods that have been logged off every so many years here are literal "jungles" of "wait a minutes". I use an "Amish weedeater" ,pruning shears and hand saw. I have 6 tree stands in place and now have several ambush sites in mind on the ground. I am jealous of those of you able to bowhunt elk this year. It has been 9 years since I left my old hunting grounds in the mts.

Hunting alone this year near Pagosa Springs 2nd season. I picked out one of those single man tents and a jet boil. I have the rifle ready all the gear is in tubs. I'm just hoping its not as hot this year as the last couple. If anyone is hunting in that area and wants to link up, or sight in in Va Beach, give me a shout.

Took 2 rookies out to introduce them to archery quail hunting, Mountain and Valley quail was what we were after. We got our shots in, just no luck connecting this day. The 2 rookies did good, they got on a couple coveys and loosed some arruhs and had a ball. Had it been shotguns we would have been close to limits, well they would have been for sure. Going back Sunday to avenge myself, them mtn quail pissed me off bad by running under that Manzanita. Taking a secret weapon this time, a GSP dawg. The kid in the middle is a hot shot archery shooter and it really humbled him to miss so much .

Die hard hunter hear. Bow, Muzzle Loader, and rifle. I have some property in Central VIrginia. I hunt as much as I can but the last week of October and the first week of November I have off. Peak time of the rut for Whitetails. Bow the first week and ML the following week. I can't fucking wait.....

Getting the bow out this week for practice. Bow season (whitetail) starts in October so I'll be able to get a few days in before I head out again. Dove season starts Sept 1 in Texas so me, the wife, and kids will be making it rain lead in central Texas. Gonna have to try to find a .410 shotgun for the girls.....they're tough to find.

Just bought a Barrett 98B .338 LM for elk. Except I couldn't get a tag this year. Guess I'll have to pig hunt with it. Oh wait, Anadarko just bought out our lease in South Texas. Guess I won't be doing any hunting this year. FML.
