Dunno, seems like a weak field this year. But then again what douche can ever top our favorite shovel thrower.

Just voted. Fake Ranger, because he looks like 300lbs of chewed fuck and "Chief" Bernath because of his beard in an "Official" photo. BTW, Master Guns approves.

Problem is, beards have not been allowed in the USN since 1984:

The razor finally dropped in 1984 when CNO Adm. James D. Watkins banned all beards. The concern that a sailor with a beard would not be able to gain a proper seals with his emergency breathing apparatus frequently was given as the reason. However, the blunt-speaking Secretary John Lehman said that it was simply due to aesthetics. Lehman said that master chiefs had been complaining that beards made the Navy look “extremely un-uniform” so it was decided that having clean-shaven sailors would bring “a general sharpening of appearance.” Moustaches were allowed, but could not extend beyond the upper lip line.

My avatar called...

Says he likes the SEAL. You'd think that potential posers would have heard of Don S. and picked a different service to lie about.

Had to go with the AF LTC - he had me with the glasses. Also voted for Frankie V.

Two good deeds today - the vote and tossing a found copy of shovel boy's book in the shitcan for S n G.

Beards survived on submarines underway until the 1988 USS Bonefish fire. That probably ended Navy beards for good.

I knew beards were nixed around that time (a few years before I joined the Navy). My problem with the pic isn't necessarily the beard but the whole creation of the photo by a poser. It's not like it was photoshopped or out in public but rather a very deliberate, pathologically-induced, premeditated event.

HAHA, I voted the same, for the same reasons. I think he probably had just seen the SEAL movie with the SCPO wearing a beard, and then thought it a good idea to take his picture wearing one too.

Same vote for me for roughly the same reasons - you just can't NOT vote for the douchy pics in uniform!! Esp for a CPO over 20 sporting the Good Conduct and National Def medals in his top row

I'd love to see someone take the LTC and put him in a plane and record him when they say "Ok sir, bird's yours let's go"

The Marine and SEAL are tough ones as I wanted to go with the one who has tied up the most resources and proven to be the biggest burden. Not the biggest liar and biggest embellisher, but the one who goes to the greatest lengths to continue to perpetrate a lie, so I had to flip a coin:

Frankenwienie won.

Truth be told . . .

I have seen the reference to Blue Falcon before, but was unfamiliar with the reference. Rather than ask, I have bided by time. Lo and behold, when I went to vote I saw was the first word was "buddy". ALLLLrighteee then. Got it.

I voted for the Round Ranger and the Eye-tal-yon Stallion. I love physical threats over the internet. TOTAL badass.

MasterGuns was effing AWESOME. Semper Fi, mac.
