Ft. Bragg Explosion

15 SOF soldiers were injured after an explosion at a firing range (Ft. Bragg). Godspeed to those injured...no other details as of now.

Demo injuries at Bragg...

Cannot find a link, but it is being reported. I hate training "accidents."

The soldiers were all taken to Womack. I will walk down the hall to the ED to see if any are coming here.

I work at Duke; MCIs at Bragg or Lejeune often send patients here and to UNC-Chapel Hill. Charge Nurse in ED doesn't know anything.

If I hear any gouge, I will certainly post.

This report states 15 Specials Operations soldiers were injured on range 69 and taken to Womack. No other range affected. All other ranges open.

Speedy recovery to the injured.

Best skinny I have heard was 4 dead, one significantly injured, sent to UNC-Chapel Hill, I am hearing "triple amputee." I am trying to get more info, but this is from two sources. Apparently part of the SF engineers course, doing homemade explosives.

That really sucks, along with the training accident involving a Marine amphibious vehicle that caught fire out in San Diego and injured about 15 Marines.

RIP to those who died, speedy recovery to those who were injured.

The field manual for improvised explosives reads like a list of all the way you could possibly accidentally kill yourself while making a bomb. Practicing those skills has a lot of inherent risk.

Prayers out to those affected, including their loved ones.
