Juan Calderon 2/75?

This was in my PM's.

A bit after my time but.. we are all 6 degrees of separation from someone who knows someone.

I have a guy here in Colorado that is claiming to have been with 2nd Ranger Battalion between 2006 and 2010 with a combat deployment to Kandahar. He won't tell me which company or platoon and he said a lot of things that made me very skeptical of his claim which is why I am now trying to verify if he was in fact with Ranger Battalion. This all comes up just as his best friend is found out to not have been a Navy SEAL, verified recently in the Phony SEAL Check thread. They both work at the same Aurora Fire Department and ironically this guy defended the fake Navy SEAL and tried to play it off as a misunderstanding. Either way, I hope you can assist in any way. His name is Juan Calderon, approximate age is 30. Thank you!

I'm not a 'rifmatic whiz, but...

If he was in Kandahar circa 2006...

And even assuming he was an 18 year old first-termer at that time...

And allowing for time spent Delayed Entry, MEPS, OSUT, Airborne, RASP, etc...

He'd have to be ~33 years of age today. At least.

See if you can verify his exact age. Much younger than 33 means he's full of shit.

JUST SOME INFO There was a Marine Sgt. Juan Calderon Jr.
Died August 2, 2004 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
26, of Weslaco, Texas; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; killed Aug. 2 by enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq.
Texas Marine killed in Iraq

He had a brother that would be about 34 years old now I could be 180 degree's off

For some reason his name struck a memory of something
