PFC Manning supporters

I am officially nauseated.

"I plan to march all night tonight and bring as much attention as I can to put the entire country on notice that we have a hero who's standing trial for nothing more than telling the truth," said Dan Choi, a gay West Point graduate discharged from the military for revealing his sexual orientation.

He wore a bright orange "Bradley Manning Support Network" sticker on the lapel of his uniform jacket."

Edited to add: The Army made the right decision to discharge this one...

"Manning, a native of Crescent, Okla., is relying on a defense that will argue much of the classified information posed no risk."

Now that is a strong defense!

How would Manning actually know? Did he read the gazillions of cables and reports?

Little Manning is done...

What I love is that NO ONE is addressing the heart of Manning's bitch with the Army...he is gay, and was pissed about DADT. I guess it would not be PC to address that during the repeal of DADT and all the talk of all the great things gays in uniform do.

I was all for repeal of DADT, and have believed since prior to the enactment of DADT that gays should be allowed open service. But let's see things as they are, or at least be willing to face the truth about Bradley Manning.

My favorite part of that article, seems pretty logical:

Quote:
She spotted the protesters and decided to come out with a sign that said: "Don't leak classified information, stupid!"

He's a douche and I think he's gonna go away for a long, long time. I could care less if he smokes pole. He betrayed the nation IMO and now it's time for him to pay for his actions. I can't believe he would be so naive as to think that he wouldn't get caught or his actions would have no consequences or repercussions. He's just a silly little boy who'll most likely be a silly old man before he see's the outside of a prison. I'm also of the mind that all the butt pirates and lick'em-low-ladies who got burned under DADT will no doubt rally to his cause like Mr. Choi in the article as they see it as more of "gay" man being prosecuted instead of the betrayal of sensitive/classified information.

As I said before, if Manning had information on one specific crime and the coverup and released that info, even if classified, he'd have a lot more respect.

Grabbing thousands of cables and releasing them without knowing what they contain is incredibly stupid. Most people I have explained this to eventually agree.

It appears there are still idiots amongst us.

He's going to be real popular with a segment of the population where he's going.
Oh, wait, he's going to a MILITARY prison. Maybe not so much.

Much as I hate to say it, I do not think he will do as much time as we all would give him. (Clayton Lonetree was sentenced to 15 but wound up doing only 9.)And that's if the current POTUS does not pardon him, which I can see happening.

No sympathy whatsoever. Maybe it's time the "it's all about me" crowd were given an example.

Perhaps his fellow inmates will Occupy Bradley Manning, one at a time.

Lonetree was a completely different set of circumstances. Lonetree turned himself in after realizing what he had gotten himself into and cooperated with authorities. I don't disagree with Lonetree's sentence at all.

As far as the President pardoning him...I don't see he would even entertain the idea.

I always get pissed when I see who gets the free passes and I'm sure that when it comes that time again, I'll get pissed again.

My definition of treason must be too broad, Manning fits.

So if we give him a hemlock enema, does the "fruit of the poison tree" doctrine apply?

And I suppose Choi's insinuating that Manning's actually being put on trial for being a homo, rather than because he leaked an assload of information he ought not have?

I don't care if the little punk f***ing dies.

A new article is stating that his new defense is that Bradley Manning did not leak any information at all, but rather it was Breanna Manning, his alter ego. He even held chats with this name online so it must be true. I have a feeling they are going to try to make the case about gender identity rather than his actions.

Making this about homosexuality insults those gays who haved served and never compromised classified information or betrayed their country.

Well, they damn sure don't want to argue the case over his actual actions.
