Just from that NRA 200 yard standing unsupported stance on the cover, I can already tell that there will be cries of "Heresy" over your new book....LMFAO

Congratulations on the book!

Thanks. But back in the day at SOTIC that's what we used to train the guys in during the first week of the 6 week POI. It's still the best way to actually learn marksmanship.

As far as heresy there's far worse stuff on the inside!

I basically wrote this book because we had guys showing up for a 40-hour police sniper school and the only weapons they were qualified (or familiar with) were handguns from when they attended the Police Academy. And that's the paradox I found. military students attending sniper schools approaching two months had arrived trained in rifle marksmanship out to 300 meters. For the students attending a 5 day police course there was no time to train someone from scratch and cover everything else that had to be done. So I wrote this book for a sniper team leader to hand to a candidate with instructions to read this and then meet the team at the range in about two weeks to start the live fire practice. That identifies who the self-starters are and who really wants to do the job more than they want the title of "Sniper". Then that guy knows how to "hit the mark" before attending sniper school and putting everything together.

Plus there's a few things in there that would be of use to most military snipers I've run into in my travels.

I never had a problem with NM shooting, it was NM SHOOTERS that used to piss me off.

Glad you've got a new book out John. Congrats on completing a new project.

Yeah, all they needed to learn to do our jobs was how to crawl around in the weeds. LOL

One of my MA students serves in the Sniper section of our local National Guard infantry unit. Will recommend him buying as well.
