UNMAS Training Center Accreditation?

Hello everyone,

This time I reach you for information based on your expertise:

I want to know if any EOD Training Center/Academy is accredited directly by the UNMAS or NATO as an EOD training company.

It is my understanding that neither NATO or UNMAS do this type of accreditation but I might be wrong.

I look forward to your comments. Thank you.

I recently went through every word of UN mine-resistant vehicle requirements, for a purchasing contract, and from memory, the UN uses accepted international accreditation for that kind of subject, rather than create its own standards.

I know it's not EOD-specific, but knowing how the UN works, I would lean to that being the case.

UNMAS Accreditation

Hi Hawkeye,

There are no UNMAS accredited institutions providing EOD/IEDD training. Accrediting an organization would mean constantly ensuring the standards for the duration or lifespan of said company, and nobody want's that kind of responsibility. As for NATO I've been told that they have their own military training schools. Hope this helps.
