Big spinoff potential there.
A Rainbow Six series set in the 80's or early 90's (with corresponding technology and TTPs) would be amazing!

Aw right you haters

the second season may not be TECHNICALLY correct, but as a 24 carat pouge, I find it entertaining. I am in the middle of season two and the bad guys are sussing out the recovery team using thermal imaging. If they can see the team, WHY can't they see the DBG! Asking for a friend.

Are you fucking serious? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all week...and I'm at a senior staff planning conference, so, the bar has been set pretty high. You should be proud. - Gavin

Spoiler:

How in the fuck did everyone within 50 miles not know that boat was on the river? How the fuck is it, theyíre the only traffic on that river, ever?

That was the most egregious failure I saw. Most of the rest I expected to varying degrees. Optics on carry handles made me cringe every time.

I mean... my first was an Aimpoint 3000 on the carry handle. Cause thatís what we had to work with. At least we had light mounts for those, and didnít have to hose clamp a 4-D cell maglight to the hand guard.

If it was good enough for the Son Tay raiders, good enough for today. The enemy today is not running faster or has thicker skin than a bunch of Russian and Chinese advisors had 49 years ago.

I had a Starlight scope mounted and zeroed on my M16A2 in DS when we were waiting on the berm before the assault. I figured it'd be easier to take off if I needed to shoot during the day than put on if I needed to shoot at night. It came off once the ground war started; damn thing was like trying to look through a bottle of Mt Dew the long way...
