Defense filed multiple continuances, and like all exchange students do, she went home. Victim did not want to come back to the US, so case was dropped.
I wonder why the judge didn't see that coming and put an end to the continuances?

Interesting that according to the docket, after 2 defense continuances, all of a sudden they are concerned with "speedy trial".

"Vigorously defending his client" and completely subverting the criminal justice system.

Opening up this old post, if you do not mind.

As one of my martial art students did some training with Ken Hakathorn at Gunsite. He mentioned that Ken has served in 1st Group and Nam?

So what is the final outcome?

Was Ken Hakathorn Special Forces qualified? What Group did he serve in? What time frame? Did he ever go down range? Anything new to light after all these years?

I notice now on many of his bios it is stated served as a Special Forces weapons/firearms instructor? What does that mean?

Just asking, as see this all too often with many of these firearm's instructors these days. Implying they were Special Forces, when all they really did was do some training with, or give some training to, some of those in Special Forces.

Thanks.

I was just doing some searching on Hackathorn myself, and found Post #59 in this thread satisfied my curiosity.

Does not for me, as that member was kicked off Socnet for himself embellishing his background/records of SF service and other issues IIRC.

I would really like to see Hackathorn's DD214.

Was Hackathorn an old "Paper Tabber" from the SF Reserve days of the late 60s/70s? Did he go to Vietnam?

Found this bio after an article he wrote for Soldier Systems Daily. "Ken Hackathorn has served as a US Army Special Forces Small Arms Instructor, Gunsite Instructor, and NRA Police Firearms Instructor. He is currently an FBI Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified Deputy Sheriff with Washington County SO, Ohio, and a SRT member and Special Response Team trainer. Ken has trained US Military Special Operations forces, Marine FAST and SOTG units and is a contract small arms trainer to FBI SWAT and HRT."

Is there such a thing as US Army Special Forces Small Arms Instructor?

Well, other than an 18B instructor in the "Q", but they teach more than small arms...
