Operations Support Specialist

Locations are Apex, North Carolina, Houston, Texas, Des Moines, Iowa and Bismarck, North Dakota, Jacksonville, Illinois. There are one or more positions available at each location.

With general direction and a high level of latitude for independent judgment and discretion, this position provides operational support to clients, internal team members and partners in a dynamic environment. The Operations Support Specialist will perform in-depth research, gather facts, and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information accurately, reach sound conclusions, and formulate recommendations involving force provider sourcing and operational support.

The Operations Support Specialist will display functional knowledge of operations research techniques, force management (FM) expertise, and a background in FM requirements analysis, advanced warfighting concepts and doctrines, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). Analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with the FM systems and operational system architectures.

The Operations Support Specialist will apply a thorough understanding and functional knowledge of military or law enforcement intelligence and operational support processes and apply these skills towards focused mission requirements. The Operations Support Specialist will be responsible for providing operational and operational analysis and all aspects of information gathering, research, threat assessments, Client development and predictive analysis as part of an analytical security team.

The Operations Support Specialist will be familiar with tools to research, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate open source data in order to contribute to or produce intelligence/operational studies, operational special reports, briefings, information papers, threat assessments, threat warnings, and maintain overall situational awareness of ongoing support operations.

The Operations Support Specialist will analyze findings in a larger strategic context to demonstrate and highlight the importance of identified research to specific law enforcement and intelligence efforts.

The Operations Support Specialist will support the analysis and production finished all-source intelligence products over a broad range of issues, focusing on capabilities and actions, political and cultural climates, tribal and social networks and other issues as required. This includes monitor and analyze operational information for credibility, urgency, and specific target information.

The Operations Support Specialist will brief the client and senior staff personnel on security and operational matters pertaining to the operating environment on a daily or weekly basis.

  • U.S. Citizen
  • At least 5years of experience with requirements analysis, warfighting or Law Enforcement concepts and doctrines, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP)
  • Flexibility to work an event-driven work schedule on an as-needed basis, to include working irregular hours in response to crisis events.
  • Past management experience within or supporting the US Military, Law Enforcement, or Intelligence Communities using investigatory and analytic best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills including strong presentation ability.
  • Excellent analytical skills with close attention to detail, strong critical thinking/logic skills, and an ability to learn/adapt quickly in solution-oriented culture
  • Able to accurately and concisely communicate operational information via written products and assessments and verbal briefings.
  • Possess a strong ability to analyze all-source information and disseminate the relevant aspect of the information to the client and other operational support personnel.
