Mindhunter (Netflix original)

Pretty good show, although I haven't finished yet.

If you're into criminal psychology and the evolution of FBI Behavioral Science & Criminal Profiling.

John Douglas type stuff and the history of the country's most prolific, horrific, & disgusting killers.

I'm hooked. Decent acting and writing so far.

ETA: Oh and it has a killer soundtrack.

I just binged it yesterday...the cliffhanger at the end ticked me off a little though.

I still think True Detective Season 1 was better, but just by a little. I did love this show, and I am impatiently awaiting season 2.

Man, I had to watch the whole series this weekend - It's been the only upside to being down with the flu. I'm assuming the ADT guy is the Zodiac killer??

NOTE: Sigi - you're damn right about the soundtrack. I think that, and the cars, really add to the quality and mood of the show.

I appreciate when film makers stress attention to detail, and this series has it. David Fincher is meticulous with the music, clothing, shots inside the cabins of commercial aircraft and at the airport, hotels and the subtle nuances of what you'd find in them during the 1970's, even vehicles several blocks in the distance are from the era. Scouting locations for scenes inside homes and buildings must have taken quite some time--there seems to be nothing that doesn't fit.

The actors they cast to play the serial killers Ed Kemper and Richard Speck do a terrific job; specifically the guy playing Kemper.

I agree. Kemper's stature and manner of speaking are spooky. I'm shocked at how closely the actor resembles the man.

Tip of the cap to the actor. He is doing a good job.

The ending does have sort of a cliffhanger, but the choice of the Led Zeppelin song in the last scene brought back memories. I haven't heard that song in 20 years.

Great show.
Look up the Ed Kemper real life vs Mind Hunter video on the U tubes.
The actor is spot on.

My wife and I watched it this weekend. Interesting show, it’s a mix of “big brain stuff” and in the weeds who done it.

My wife guesses the ADT guy is the BTK killer, I guess green river killer. Can’t wait for season two.

Will season 2 pick up where season 1 left off, or will it be a new story like TD seasons?

Yeah, dude is definitely the BTK killer.

Props to the producers for using Zeppelin's "In The Light" for the final scene...
