Left handed AR-15 receivers.

Hi all,
Do any of you have any recommendations for left handed AR-15 uppers. Budget isn't a concern. Looking for the best.

Thanks.

You talking about a left handed upper receiver or an Ambi lower receiver?

If it’s the upper Stag is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Ambi lowers can easily be built out of high quality parts. If that isn’t for you Knights Armament makes a really nice Ambi lower.

Steyr Aug and IWI Tavors can both be purchased in left handed configurations - for those of you not stuck in the Ď70s like Silverbullet - and donít mind the Bullpup platform (like most major Armies these days are using).

Seriously, something to consider if left handed.

Beretta ARX 100 are fully ambidextrous and go for under $1k. With a AUG the NATO version is not ambidextrous.

Haha, bullpups are for amateurs.

OP, I'd get an ambidextrous lower instead of a left hand build.

Thanks for the feedback. I've already got a Favor X95, converted it myself to left handed, and love the gun now that I feed it 5.56 ammo instead of .223.

I was mostly looking to do my first and only AR build with top shelf components, but I wanted an upper with the ejection port on the left side and was going to match it to a barrel from Proof Research. Stag is the only one I've come across.

I’m left handed. I own several Stag HL rifles. Great quality and flawless operation.

20 years of using an AR as a lefty.

I do not see the point/need for an ambi upper.

Ambi safety, mag release, charging handle yes.

Has anyone hear of or have any experience with Black Rain Ordnance?

They make a LH upper and lower combo and include all of the pins, etc. Is this something I need to worry about when trying to assemble a left handed build?

Thanks again

I'm a lefty and shoot the AR in standard ('righty'). What is it that specifically becomes 'backwards' for us that you're trying to correct?

Only thing I have ever really found of value converting to ambi is the safety.. everything else I leave "righty".. I can easily reach all other controls (Im a lefty shooter)..

Really was just looking for something fun to shoot that ejects shells to the left, instead of the right.

Gotcha. I've not been zapped with the shells ejecting onto me. Which eye is dominant?

If you’re looking to spend way too much, SCAR has an ambi upper Ejects to the right though.
