SEAL check

I would appreciate a check on Gary Farnsworth from Prescott Arizona who has represented himself a SEAL. I have read an article from The Daily Caller which is the Prescott local paper that there are questions about stolen valor with this individual but I am not willing to condemn someone over an article in the paper. This man is sweeping my neighbors sister off her feet and there is considerable money involved. He has asked me for help. I need definitive information on what to tell him.
