Swamp Fox Optics

Is anyone familiar with this company and their LVPO optics? I was looking at optics and came across this company. They are based in Colorado and appear to have opened shop in July 2018. Wanted to get thoughts from those who might have run across them. They have three versions starting at$269-399.....

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I like the fast adjust zoom lever as stock. With a 50,000 round guarantee (marketing, but hey whatever works - just say lifetime) really no downside. I'm sure they are private branded from somebody, but that's common in every industry.

Some YouTube stuff here, haven't watched: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...wampfox+optics

If they came in a smidge under Primary Arms/Vortex - they'd clean up I think. Reticle is cal. to 55gr out of a 16", Second Focal Plane.

Edit: Wonder if they're Batt Boys? Francis Marion?

This made me ROTF off their Instagram feed - I'm stealing it

Thanks for this, I was about to pull the trigger on another Vortex 1-8, this gave me another option, at a better price point. I'll update after a range session.

Coupon Code - DAILYSHOOTER for 20% OFF

$263.19 for the 1-4 scope and mount with that code - pretty cool, thanks (didn't buy but may later). I think SFP is fine for Joe average - I can't imagine only wanting 2 or 3x for something... it'll either be 1x or 4x, so the BDC being "off" on SFP scopes wouldn't matter - for *me*. I wonder what the battery life is? If they could add a Holosun/SIG "vibration awake" to it, it would be cool.

Thanks for all the information (and coupon code). dbuck1031, let us know how it performs. Very interested in picked one up. I run a red dot at work, but am looking at one of these for my personal rifle. Never used LPVO, but was confident I could get some great info here.

Strelok Pro (maybe +?) has the Swampfox Reticles in the database.

Did all the research yesterday - definitely getting this optic, just have to decide on 4x or 6x for a 16". Vortex was out, then it was SF or PA. I like the ACSS Reticle, but the Guerrilla Dot BDC reticle seems close. Actually think Second Focal Plane is better for a 0yds-X00yds rifle - for me. Better turrets. Just need to learn how to range with it:

If you have a DD214 or Cop credentials - Swampfox is on 'ExpertVoice' with a discount more than the code that was posted here.

I had to use IE on the site, Firefox had errors - And the site is kind of a pain to register with (at least for me). But you pick a 'Group' (I picked 'SOF Veteran' - they have a bunch of others, like LE or Army, etc...) and upload redacted certs/orders/214, etc... Approval took a day. Then find Swampfox (or any other mfg, there are like 500), take 2 "Quizzes" and you get a code for multiple purchases.

Need to take a closer look, as was just looking at Bortex and Primary arms scopes.

Probably all three made in the same factory in China. But that is not a bad thing, a lot of junk made in China-but some good high quality stuff with good QC also. My oldest neice and nephew were made in China and they are good quality.

Liking the Tomahawk series and their Guerilla reticles.

Mine came in yesterday - nothing jumped out as crappy (the opposite, in fact). It was actually sitting outside for a while after delivery - took it in and looked through it to see if it fogged (25 to 75 degrees) - all good.

The reticle, on 11, is 'Daylight Bright' in the sun/snow. Absolutely can be used just like a 'Red Dot' - at 1x...pretty cool. Didn't notice anything but clarity at the edges.

Thanks for the update! Did you get the 1-4 or 1-6?

Times sure have changed. Jack OConner in his classic book "the big game rifle " talks about the standard of one need 1x magnification for every 100 meters .

4-5x is the max I will ever need, as for hunting and self defense I don't see, and have very early in the past, taken a shot pass 100meters. Definitely probably not taking a shot pass 200 meters.

Got mine, I ordered the 1-8x, and the mount. Mount is VERY well built, and snugged the scope right down, really solid. The scope itself came with a battery, flip-up caps, and swing lever, as well as a really nice micro-fiber towel. Got it all installed and zeroed in about 20 minutes. I have the brightness set at 6, as all the way up is REALLY bright. I would rate it on the same scale as my 1-8x Vortex Strike Eagle, and Nicer than my 1-6x Primary Arms as far as glass goes. I would overall rate it better than both as it came with peripherals I had to source for my other scopes (caps/throw lever). Well worth the money spent, will be purchasing more as needed. I know I will be getting the MRD as soon as available March 12th.

Yeah, with the Vet/AD/LE discount, you could almost have one for every rifle whether you needed it or not If the Lens Caps were clear, and push-button, like Butler Creek's - it would be an 11/10! The one thing I'll say about the mount (but this isn't Swamp Fox specific): If you shoot nose-to-charging handle, just get the scope and source an "SPR" mount elsewhere. The Std is a smidge too far back for me - I'll probably grab an Aero-Precision SPR mount for $75. Scope gurus already no this - but I didn't.
