Position Wanted - Electronic Records Admin

Gentlemen, Ladies:

Come time for me to leave DC. I poke around here and there but I just need to leave - simply not happy here.

Ideally I want to relocate to the Colorado/Utah area, so I'm not entertaining offers outside of that realm.

Current Top Secret clearance - August 2010 is the latest version.

I currently deal in electronic records management, Enterprise Content Management, etc. Not a fan of Sharepoint but have familiarity with SP2007. TRIM Administrator certified, etc etc. I have rolled out an Enterprise solution (TRIM) at the Navy, worked with JIEDDO on creating a solution with them, and am currently at the Dept of Education.

Anyone know of anything out there?

Thanks. Resume/CV available.

Have you looked at the world of electronic medical records (EMR)? Similar project management processes and technologies, and there should be plenty of projects for years to come.

Colorado = 1000 jobs found using "electronic medical records"
Utah = 559 jobs found using "electronic medical records"

Yeah unfortunately the medical community looks at it as a completely different and specialized field - in other words, would expect me to start at the bottom rung. I'm at the design and policy level now so it would be like starting the climb up an entirely different ladder - not to mention I'd lose the TS.

Unfortunately in my field 90% of the jobs are here in DC but since it's a federal requirement I know that each base out there has to have RMs - and the Feds are ramping up the move to electronic.

Covering all my bases by posting to SOCNET. Thanks though.

Kid-A, have you taken a look at National Guard Civilian Careers. Not really a dream job, but it will contribute to your years of Gov service, and you will get to hang on to a clearance.
In my state, they have a link on the N.G. home page for civilian jobs. You may have to navigate through the ones that require joint membership in the N.G.

Also, wherever you locate an opportunity - Fed-Ex/overnight your resume to the POC/department head/hiring manager. Submitting resume's through websites and emailing them to people can be somewhat of a black-hole. (A good tip I learned from a former marine and former CEO of Merril Lynch)

Good luck

I'll do some looking here where I work, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Colorado Springs. Seem to recall some openings a week or two ago with similar buzzwords.

I'd check with Hill Air Force Base or the Utah Army National Guard in Draper, UT. Some big 3 letter agency moves happening at Camp Williams that might be an option as well.

there are litterally TONS of IT and electronics oriented positions posted in and around the CO Springs area every day..

many (if not most) of the major DOD contracting firms have a heavy presence there..

get with one of the recruiting firms that focus on the areas you are experienced in.. and shoot them your resume.. (apple one comes to mind.. they have a signficant presence in the springs.. and have agreements in place with everyone from NEK to ITT, and everyone else in between.. www.appleone.com ...)
