I will lend you a 44 mag trail boss if you want. I have a few other 44 mags, but that would appear to be optimal. Even have a 2A chesty for it. Let me know, so I don't have to carry your soul when you get eaten.

He should. Hawkdriver should be able to hook him up depending where he flys into.

But...he'll most likely turn out like Timothy Treadwell.

I think bears fish too?

I have one you can borrow also G, if you want to avoid hauling one up. Also with 2A chesty or old school leather if you want to impress the chicks.

Well, if teeth and abdominal girth isn't a real underlying factor--I can hook you up.

I suppose you'll have to stop by the Alaskan Bush Co. and look at some of the other local 'wildlife'.

I'm going up there for halibut sometime, but for right now a buddy is up there right doing exactly that, so I'll probably get some out of the deal. I'm not much into fish, more of a beef guy, but I love me some halibut.

If any of you guys are ever in Vancouver B.C., you need to go to Cockney King's Fish & Chips out in Burnaby. You can get cod, but of course, I recommend the halibut.

I hired a guide on the Kenai and had excellent results. Best of all I found a local fish place and had them ship me a big load of fresh frozen salmon. Excellent quality.

Leave the dynamite and hand grenades at home.

Alaska is bear country, and the bears like fish. A lot. Getting some tips on bear safety would be in order.

While in Anchorage, try the fried halibut bites at Humpy's. Stop at the Summit Lake Lodge on the way back from the Kenai Peninsula and get a Garbage Grinder. On the way down, Gwennie's for pie.

Rainbows and Dolly Varden are usually pretty easily had on salmon eggs, egg patterned flies, or egg sucking leach patterns in rivers, and mosquito patterned drys. If you are a spinner fisherman, look at Mepps and Panther Martins with silver blades, or Vibrax with red, orange, or pink bodies.

In addition to bears, moose can be found near most good fishing spots. Be moose aware, and if they lay their ears back, and their hackles go up, back away quickly.

If you want a change of pace near Homer, you can look into clamming at Ninilchik.

Banned on the east side of the inlet including Ninilchik for quite a while now. Still OK on the west side.
