It really is a treat. Personally, I prefer the CA Halibut over the Alaskan. Not that I have much choice. But when we do score some flatties from the coast they always cook up awesome dinners.

For those along the west coast, the further you head south the more you seem to catch, until you get too far and they get smaller. Plastic swimbaits are the key. Up north near SF in the bay, live anchovies do the trick.

Like the fish pics aren't enough to make one envious. Now you're really rubbing it in.

What a trip. I really need to find some work up there and double dip. I had a guy call me to come up this spring but I was already committed to some other jobs.

If you didn't catch another thing, you have had a very successful trip indeed. If you still have more fishing to do, I wish you even greater success. Enjoy it to the fullest!

Fuck yeah. Crushing the fish game! Lb for Lb that’s the most I’ve seen any tourists take away. Keep it going.
Winds to be picking up this weekend again which may increase fire activity and smoke, so get it while the gettin is good!

Freeze it in zip lock bags full of local salt water, and ship it home.

We're using the MWR facility out of Seward. They have a fish cleaning house with vacuum packers. You clean, vacuum pack, freeze, then FEDEX home. Shipped 161lbs of filets last week for about $500
