Mine currently has 5000 rounds through it without a cleaning and no stoppages yet.

The only stoppage I've had was operator induced during a ISPC match.

G22 or a G17. Wouldn't complain about either.

Bought the Glock 23. Good fit in the hand and potent round. Austria seems to know how to build guns....

Thankfully we live in the US and don't have to limit ourselves to one. That said I like my Kimber Pro CDP. May have to try a Glock one of these days.....

When it comes to survival and reliability, you can't beat a Glock. No pesky hammer pins to walk and cause you trouble (ala Sig), no 8 or 9 round limitation to how many rounds af .45 you can keep in a magazine, and the guns have fewer issues than any other weapons I know of.

I won't knock Sigs as they are great weapons but you can by a Glock and buy another one for backup for almost what you can get a new Sig for these days. By the way, I've just finished my second semi-annual services on the first rack of Sigs here at the shop... they really do need that kind of maintenance to keep them running in top shape. A Glock just needs ammo.

I love and hate this thread. Was thinking of getting the .45 XD that just came out. But now I cant help but go look at a Glock 22. Maybe even a 17. Just too many supporting them. Guess ill have to look harder for that Range to rent a few handguns at.

22cal Ruger short heavy barrel, with small red dot scope, 22 Remington short or sub-sonic ammo, but--

I have been eyeing up the new 5.7 Has a lot of nice features, a 20 round mag plus SS109 ammo, can go through bp vests... and is easy to hold on target.

My buddy at Bridger Armory just sold a 5.7, another friend still has his. The pal that sold his related it to a "You know, I dated a weird girl one time." Fun enough to play with, expensive to feed, and different enough to make everyone want one like it.

They're neater'n hell but I just don't see the point. The 5.7 has less energy than the 5.56 out of a 10" barrel. Shooting that through the pistol barrel is even less. Kind of like the .224 Boz that came out some years ago.
