New Mexico National Guard SF?

I'm in the middle of interviewing for different jobs around the US, and one very likely candidate is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I did a search on the web for NGSF units in New Mexico, but didn't come up with anything. Any of you guys know of any SF units out there? I'm just a civie holding on to my hope of trying-out with a unit. Thanks!

To my knowledge, the closest is either in CA, CO, and Dallas. There is/ was (I can't remember the status) also a PJ unit in AZ.

Well, looks like it'll be a long drive for me then. Whatever it takes. Thanks for the info. I have the greatest respect for the PJs, but unfortunately I don't meet the vision requirements. Alas...

The 19th SFG has a unit outside Denver (5/19) and the 19th Gp HQ is located outside Salt Lake City at Dugway.

No SF Guard units are stationed in either NM or AZ.

You could always join the Marine Corps! They have a reserve Recon Co. in Albuquerque.

Hooyah, Marine Corps! I didn't know there was a recon reserve. Excellent unit, but I assume they don't let us dumb-asses in off the street. That would be crazy - oh, wait... 18x... nevermind. Maybe I can get in, except I think they have vision requirements too.

PJ's are awesome. Once again, that vision requirement... Anyone want to swap eyeballs with me?

Sharky's right. The Air Force does have a PJ unit here, as well as part of the PJ pipeline, too.

There is a 20th Group detachement near Fredericksburg. I don't think they're taking non-prior service right now though.

Actually, the BN HQ for 19th Gp is at Camp Williams Utah, located just south of SLC.

You're absolutely correct.. my error.

The Group HQ is also located at Camp Williams, not Dugway.
