Hi all

Am currently military police. Was and E5 on my way to BUDS, but my buddy and I hit a little trouble. Now I'm just biding my time. Been deployed to the middle east. Kuwait, Israel, Bahrain. Did law enforcement, now overseas in force protection command. Happy to be a part.
P.S. When deployed I deployed EST, so Israel was just a port visit I wasn't boots on the ground.

welcome

Ulsterreidster

My hat is off to you, you being formerly an RUC man.

The shift opposite me has a former H Div MSU sergeant on it. His stories (and pics to back it up) are extraordinary.

Keep your head down in the sand brother.

Intro

Hey y'all,
I spent 6 years as Marine ground pounder, a year and half at a decent sized SO in SC shagging 911 calls, USCP picked me up in 1998, did three years in uniform and then went to DPD until 2004. I've been pastoring a church for the past 5 years. I needed the cash so I've taken a contract, jumped all the prelim and training hoops and waiting to deploy. I don't rate to be in the company of Tier 1 warriors but SOCNET has been a huge help with intel in the process of reentering the slip stream and I got tired of not being able to read the profiles of those whose posts have been so enlightening. Thanks for what you do.

I've never had to serve, but my Pop and Bro have. Pop was aboard the USS Hoel (Battle off Samar and Leyete Gulf. Oct. 25, 1944). The Hoel was the first Destroyer sunk in the battle after sustaining over 40 direct hits from Japanese Capital Ships. 1 of 86 survivors, 17 who perished while floating on a 'floater net' for 58 hours while waiting on rescue. He's 85 and still can recall the battle as if it were yesterday. The Hoel received 5 Battle Stars and a Presidential Unit Citation.
My Bro served with the Marines in Vietnam from '69-72.

Fantastic site. Although I have some experience, I'm here to shut up, listen, and learn. One of the many great things I've learned being a friend of Bill W... Thanks to all for your past, present and future service...Merry Freaking Christmas...

Hi everyone. I spent some time in the Army, some time in the Corps, but was never involved in spec ops in any way (POG in both branches). I am mainly here because I tend to run into SEAL posers frequently. It is nice that you have a resource here to verify who was, and who was not a SEAL. I read the book "Lone Survivor" about 6 months ago, and it was amazing to me the bravery, sacrifice, and sheer commitment the SEALS displayed in the face of overwhelming odds. I can honestly say before that book, I never even thought abut what was expected of SEALS, nor anyone else in the Spec Ops community. I now have a great respect for you guys. Semper FI.

Did he take some pics of the guys in ACU's? If so let me know so I can get them for our FID photo's. I forgot he brought a camera out there.

As if I'd let someone take pics of me in ACU's I'm not 100%, but I think most were in civis.
