Jocko and Dean Lister Talk Jiu-jitsu

Confirmation bias alert!

This is a pretty cool video where Jocko and the one of my fav's, Dean Lister are talking about why they love Jiu-jitsu.

While they're talking Jiu-jitsu, the reality is that a lot of styles, and methods of training could have similar things said.

If nothing else, it's a good motivator to get on the mats and get your work in.

Jocko also started a new podcast called 'Grounded' that is fully focused on Jiu Jitsu and fighting. It is way less heavy than 'Jocko Podcast' and Lister has been on a couple.

You're right! I completely forgot about that. When the guy has the time... right... it would be great if he'd do a few more. Especially with Lister. That guy is the original MMA/BJJ machine. Super nice guy too.

Thank you for that.

I like Roy Dean's vids. It's got a very distinct artistic flair with music and emotional build-up around students progressions, not tutorials or how-tos really. He did a series on popular submissions where he goes through them all but my opinion you already have to have a good understanding of them before to get a alot out of those vids. He move into them quickly from positions all over the place.

Oh yeah, Dean is another level kind of guy. You're right, he's definitely one of the more charismatic and introspective BJJ guys out there. And his music... man, tie it in with training, very cool flow training.
