Check Amazon. I got a copy there in good shape for a reasonable price.

I am heading to the storage unit in Richmond next week to clean it out and move the rest of our stuff to Durham (I guess its official).

I will look through the boxes of books and see if I still have my copy of the "Five Fingers". The last few months I got rid of a lot of books but if I do, it's all yours and I will send it your way.

Thank you, I appreciate you looking. No luck at the used bookstore. But did find a couple of the Rat Bastards books learned a lot of colorful terms from them as a kid.

Five Fingers must be one hell of a book. Was reading an interview with a NHL player and he mentioned how that book got him interested in guns and the military when he was a kid.

I still have my copy of The Five Fingers in paperback. I will see if I can locate it.

And like most here....Louis L'Amour. Pretty sure I have read damn near everything he ever wrote.

Mack Bolan....read em all.

Funny story.....years ago a guy showed up here on SOCNET with the user name Mack Bolen. Profile claimed he was a plank owner at CAG. I was somewhat.....sceptical....and I let him know it. Told him I was gonna pick up the phone and check into it but needed his real name. He said his real name is Mack Bolen. So, figuring I was going to get laughed at over the phone, I made the call anyway. Dude says "Mack Bolen? Yeah man, he's the real deal. Plank Owner and all. Real name is Emerson Bolen but he hates being called that."

So yeah.....true story. I had to eat a lot of crow on that one. Haven't seen him on here in years but I do still see him pop up on FB now and then.

My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul.

I remember reading The Five Fingers long ago and being blown away by it. I wish I still had my copy.
