Train Station

Took this pic of the bathrooms at the Punta Gorda (FL) train station, I'm surprised that this little piece of history is still standing. While it's not an active station anymore, they do have a small museum.

This area of Florida had a hard time letting go of racism.

...when in doubt...over prime.

There is a school in my city that still has the bathroom and water fountains labeled that way. It has since been turned into a city building use for artistic type events. Oddly enough, it has never been brought up as a "racial" issue when multiple statues have.

I remember seeing drinking fountains labeled whites and coloreds back in the fifties and early sixties in Tampa Fl. when we visited family down there.
