HBO's Game of Thrones

Anyone else watching this? So far a very faithful adaptation of the novels. Well dressed sets, fine actiong, plus...boobs!

Well that pretty much ends the debate I was having about whether to watch or not. Here I was all concerned if it was a faithful adaptation.

Episode one was an almost page by page reaccounting of the text. Character introductions, setting up the backstories, introducing the fantasy world and its rules, and boobs.

Fantastic and hopefully they do a better job than the author did at the end of the series in terms of getting Danearys back to the thrown.

Great. Kill two birds with one stone: satisfy my nerd rage and my general desire to see boobs.

I had no idea that there were any novels regarding this series, but nonetheless I'm really digging it so far. It seems like a pretty hardcore show reminiscent of the Rome series, which I liked as well (Although that one was more historical in nature).

I really like that blonde chick too, Daenerys. What a dime.

As for the most recent episode, I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but there was a real kick ass scene with one of the dire wolves (Who looks just like my dog btw lol).

Haven't seen episode 2 yet... only thing that bothers me and is kind of a buzzkill, is that the blond chick that is marrying the horse warrior is 14 years old.

Besides that - LOVED IT!

Finally got to see the first 2 episodes and I was very impressed. They are faithful to the book and the cast is perfect. I thought HBO did a good job with Pillars of the Earth, but this series is much better.

My thoughts exactly as she disrobed. I don't believe they mentioned that on the show.

There are 3 more books (at least) in the series yet to be published.

I like the dwarf-man.

He remind me of song 'Sex Dwarf' by band Soft Cell.

Two more to go... ten episodes all together.

And one more month until the long awaited fifth novel in the series is released.

Regards,
Agreed:

Non-spoiler quote.
Tyrion (the dwarf) is surrounded by barbarians led by Shagga, with weapons drawn on him.
Shagga is deciding how to kill him.

Shagga: "How would you like to die Tyrion, son of Tywin?"
Tyrion: "In my own bed, at the age of eighty, with a belly full of wine and a girl's mouth around my cock."

If you have FIOS, you can watch any episode already out using the "On Demand" feature. Good show. Also like Camelot and Borgias.
