And you think this qualifies at high threat? To go to places where they just got hit with missles?

Sorry, but you’re not going to pass M249/M240 quals, let alone any SUT/housework.

I don't see how that translates to high threat, but then again I doubt DOS cares about standards.

Thanks

But were those 5.5 years in a high threat area? As much as I gnash and wail about medics in WPS, I fully understand that theoretically, they meet the BIO requirements. But it's only a matter of time before that theory is tested. Companies are betting that the threat will not arrive, and if it does, that it will be a team effort that wins the day.

Only a matter of time...

^Betting, I don't think they even consider anything outside of meeting the contract requirements.

*paper requirements. Actual fullfillment and what is on paper are often different.

I went to the course with a medic who had zero experience outside of that and worked with probably ten people in a couple of teams whose backgrounds were massaged to fit the requirements. Either that or some colonels had massive PSD teams.

You're a shooter like everyone else when it comes to re-qual. I've seen every CLIN struggle...difference between "vetting" and "training".

My guess what he's referring to is that some specialty clins will get a little leeway in regards to how many times they can requals.

“Specialty CLIN” = anyone willing to work for 1/2 price and can reply to the recruiter’s email. Passing PT test or shooting standards isnt enforced anymore.
