Threat and Risk Analyst - Ernst and Young - Various locations

Job summary

Early identification or anticipation of crises, understanding of impact and reaction to identified threats at the earliest possible juncture are hallmarks of an effective crisis and continuity management plan. The OFS Initial Assessment Team (IAT) is the Americas Area’s “Early Warning System”, receiving alerts from a variety of security intelligence services, assessing potential Ernst and Young (EY) impact, investigating beyond initial reporting and escalating for further assessment and response as warranted.

The Threat and Risk analyst will be responsible for allowing EY to better proactively identify incidents and threats that may impact business operations and allow for continued monitoring of incoming events.

Knowledge and Skills
• Demonstrably strong communications skills, particularly in analytical report writing
• Experience in the security analysis discipline, either/both in the private sector and government
• Degree (preferred) and/or recognized certification in security analysis or closely related discipline
• Demonstrated analytical skills, particularly in security or related subject matter area (emergency management, subversive groups)
• Analyze and write concise, compelling narratives and reports
• Understanding of on-line tools (e,g, Twitter, Facebook, NC4) to monitor, catalogue, rate and escalate appropriately. Assessing potential incidents from these social media
• Monitor, catalogue and rate escalating travel security intelligence services
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill of Microsoft office
Experience
• Experience in discipline preferred.
• Member of recognized intelligence organizations (e.g. International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts)
• Relationships with Federal, State City government agencies
• Government Clearances (desired)
Education
• Bachelors degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Recognized certification in security analysis or closely related discipline preferred
