OIF and OEF

New Army book series: Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and the Institutional Army 9/11

"This series of more than twenty volumes will eventually comprise three subseries covering Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and the Institutional Army since 11 September 2001. It will take a
team effort across the Army to gather the documentary record for these volumes, develop manuscripts, and declassify them for timely publication."

Dunno when it will come out....

I'd say about the time your grandkids ask: "Grandpa, what did you do it the war?"

Indeed I was...still am, I suppose.

OEF/OIF would be a difficult history to produce, due to the massive amounts of information out there. Compilation would be easy...war in the age of "digital/social media/all sides have cameras/video recorders." Editing and condensing all that into print media would be hard.

We went, we fought, the clowns we work for gave it all back and paid to fix it. That's the abridged version.
