Fold3

Fold3 is offering free acces on Memorial Day. Their focus is on US military records from the Revolutionary War onward through WWII. They’re also advertising the standard free 7-day trial.

I have a free membership through a local museum. I’ve found pay vouchers for Continental Army ancestors and even the registration record of an ancestor from when he entered Elmira POW Camp on the day it “opened for business.”

Fold3 is an excellent source for military records.
