el Aviv suicide attack was originally planned for Passover by Damascus-based Hamas

Updated findings show Tel Aviv suicide attack was originally planned for Passover by Damascus-based Hamas operations mastermind Imad al-Alamai who works with Hizballah. He was controller of British killer team, one of which spent four months in Damascus preparing operation. His partner flew to Syria through Europe three weeks ago.

Together they passed through Jordan to Allenby Bridge crossing, entering on British passports and driving to Gaza Strip. Their bomb belts contained new type of explosive not seen before by Israeli bomb experts and presumed imported

The Tel Aviv cafe bombing near US embassy Tuesday night was carried out by Asif Mohammed Hanif, who blew himself up when security guard Avi Taviv pushed him away from entrance to Mike’s Place. Second terrorist Omar Khan Sharif ran away dropping his bomb belt and is still sought. Three Israelis were killed and 60 injured in blast.

Well

I read in a newspaper (not sure which one but it was either jpost.com or harretzdaily.com), anyway I read that this attack could be prevented:

1.) Because both men were muslims and wanted to travel to Gaza Strip and usually the Israeli security services keep track on this kind of persons.
2.) One of the man was born in Pakistan and according to the travel restrictions, people from cetrain countries aren't able to go to Israel, because their state is designated by the State of Israel as a state that supports terrorist organizations, therefor they are automaticly banned from entering Israel (such as Pakistan...).
3.) The UK security services both knew the men as a radical Islamic extremists but they designated them as non potential terrorists.
4.) There appears to be a screw up by sharing certain information among various security services in Israel (Custom service to Shin Bet for example) and that's why the both men weren't tracked in Gaza Strip.
5.) The latest information how the two actually could get the explosives inside Israel is still a question but accroding to some sources they smuggled it in the copy of the Koran. If this is indeed true another question pops out, why didn't the custom or police or other security forces detected this. The assumption is that the belts were smuggled from Gaza Strip and if this is indeed true than the Israeli security services should raise an alarm, because if that is the case, similar cases could happen in the future.
6.) There are some informations that the two men were trained by Al Qaeda or Hizbullah or Hamas in Syria or Lebanon.

Hoepoe: What do you think about the recent articles in israeli media that terrorists are trying to run their organizations from prisons and also about the future release of some prisoners as a "good gesture" to build "confidence" with Palestinians?
