AECOM

Hi All,

Anybody currently in Afghanistan willing to share information on work conditions/life support etc for AECOM? Would be much appreciated or via a PM. Have had a look on google fu and to be fair it looks like a good company just would like to confirm via these means with the people in the know.

many thanks

Not sure what they're like overseas long-term, but they bought out the company I was working for when I was with JIEDDO and were good as far as pay, benefits being on time, so on and so forth.

They're a huge corporation so became a tiny little cog in a big old machine after they absorbed me and my team from the smaller company (McNeil) we were working for.

The two contracts I was on were specialized and we didn't have to do corporate tap-dance mandatory fun roll-call, show up for HQ training nonsense that I've seen in other places (BearingPoint, Booze-Allen)- but again that was CONUS based.

When I left them for another contract to come out here to Paradise, the last pay was on time, all the stuff that was due to me as benefits, etc, were on time, it was painless to leave, etc.

Bump.

Anyone working for AECOM more specifically for INDOPACOM HQ at Camp Smith?

I've contracted both OCONUS and CONUS in the past. Just looking at some newer pastures and trying to figure out more about the company and how they operate.

Thanks.
