The last I knew, he was working for a major theater chain as a VP for Food and Bev making well over 100K and never been asked for his 214 even though he claims Vet Status at every job he's had since he's gotten out.

Me. After I received some threats (some credible, some not), early in the IS dust-up, I took all of the prior affiliations off. I should rewrite it some day.

Hopefully they took my advice and corrected that issue.
I actually provided some training to a couple HR departments in order to show they how to actually read and understand a DD214. Many of the employees provided them, but they had no clue as to how to understand them. I always told them that I found it funny to require they present them, but they themselves didn't know what to do with them except check a box indicating it was provided.

What amazed me, is in a couple of train ups I did for contracts, and on a couple of contracts overseas , several posers got busted and sent home. I mean, seriously someone thought they could exaggerate/ elaborate on their military service - claiming SOF background - then to go work with a bunch of guys who actually have that background and not get found out?

Hell, I had a medic show up claiming to be former SEAL amongst real SEALs - that did not last long. Or several claiming former SF long tabs, amongst long tab wearers.

I think though at the time though - saw this happen with one of my subcontractors - there was a push to provide the required number of bodies for the contract - this backgrounds were either hastily overlooked or completely overlooked deliberately.

Requesting mod help to delete this comment and my last. I am not able to edit posts, and didn't realize I was in the SF area. Much obliged.

He intentionally overstated his service to create the impression he was something he wasn't.

"MultiPurpose K9 Handler (CJSOTF), Army CJSOTF, September 2004 – January 2011 6 years 5 months"

Only SF-qual'd guys are MPC handlers, he was an MWD handler...very different. Plus the duration of assignment he lists. I'll be he edits that pretty quickly.

Poser.
