Universal Defense Training

EMS care provider training, but shall provide Emergency Medical Responder training tailored to meet the
unique needs of an Emergency Medical Response team at a Corps industrial setting in a remote location.
Training shall be provided for a team of approximately 4 to 12 individuals at each requesting facility.
Primary trainers shall be experienced First Responder, Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency
Medical Technician, Paramedic instructors or equally qualified emergency medical response instructors
with five (5) or more years of field experience. They shall have knowledge of industrial working
environments.
Training shall include both classroom and real time, realistic, practical field exercises to help build skills
and confidence within and amongst the students. Following completion of the course the student shall be
trained to National EMS Education Standards for Emergency Medical Responder, trained in CPR/AED at
a professional level, and trained in the proper administration of medical oxygen. The initial course shall
consist of 4-10 hr instructional days for a total of forty (40) hrs. One (1) day shall be dedicated to CPR
for the professional, AED, airway management, and oxygen administration training. This initial class
shall contain the concept of trauma teams as related to Corps industrial settings. The following three (3)
days shall include assessment techniques, trauma and medical emergency instructional modules.
Following the initial forty (40) hours training of the team, ongoing training will continue for four (4) ten
(10) hour sessions throughout the calendar year on a continuing basis. For example, the ongoing course
may be broken down into one (1) day in the fall, one (1) day in the spring, and two (2) days in the
summer or as the Corps facility requires. The course shall be tailored so that new team members may
enter the course at a designated entry period without affecting training of existing team members.
Training must be provided during the normal work week which is Monday through Thursday and normal
ten (10) hour work day which is 0630-1700.
Training Locations: Potential locations for training include Corps of Engineer Locations throughout
Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Training for Walla Walla District will be provided at the following
locations: McNary Dam, Ice Harbor Dam, Lower Monumental Dam, Little Goose Dam, Lower Granite
Dam, and Dworshak Dam. Locations for Portland District are: Bonneville Dam, The Dalles Dam, John
Day Dam, and Mid-Willamette Valley Projects in Lowell, OR, and the Portland District Moorings. Sites
for Seattle District are Libby Dam, Chief Joseph Dam, Mud Mountain Dam, Fort Lewis, Lake
Washington Ship Canal, and Albeni Falls Dam.

We got this one, it will be my 1st time traveling to the Pacific NW, should of went to 2/75. Any on just get out and looking for work let me know ASAP we have a few instrucors on location but can always use more. Doc email best rngdoc@aol.com
