Systems Engineer JCIDS or METOC light travel to SPAWAR

Responsible for performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for meteorological and oceanographic (METOC) analysis and forecasting systems. Total system product may include concept design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Functions as the technical lead for all design-to-cost and life cycle activities for small to medium-scale projects.
Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 10+ years experience. Advanced degree preferred. Systems engineering involving the design and development of military electronic systems. General Experience required includes: Project management involving the design and development of military electronic systems. Department of Defense acquisition process. Examples: System Performance Specification (SPS), Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), Contracting, Milestone Decisions, Preliminary/Critical Design Review (PDR/CDR), Development/Operational Test and Evaluation (DT&E/OT&E), Initial/Final Operational Capability (IOC/FOC), etc. Department of Defense’s Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process. Examples: Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD), Capability Production Document (CPD), Information Support Plan (ISP), Net-Ready Key Performance Parameter (NR-KPP), Interoperability Certification, Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation, etc. Experience in working with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team members in supporting military electronic systems. Preferably Navy and Marine Corps ILS experience. Experience in working with air traffic control (ATC) systems. Examples: surveillance radar, approach radar, control tower, TACAN, etc. Preferably military ATC systems. DESIRED SKILLS: Preferably military METOC systems.
