Position: Physical Security Systems Specialist
Company: Boise Inc.
Location: Boise, Idaho

Boise Inc. is seeking a physical security systems specialist to oversee the coordination, upgrade, conversion and installation of the company’s integrated physical security systems, access control, intrusion, video and fire detection and annunciation. The successful incumbent will demonstrate and exercise reasonable latitude in determining the most appropriate physical security techniques to accomplish objectives. The position is based in Boise, Idaho but frequent travel to company locations is required. Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and five years relevant experience with systems design, installation, and maintenance. Certifications in security and/or systems preferred. Broad security experience also preferred. Incumbent travel is approximately 85%. Background in electrical instrumentation, fire safety, and / or law enforcement. This position requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in access control, security cameras, fire safety, and intrusion systems.

Position: Director of Security
Company: InterAction
Location: Washington, DC

Purpose:
The Director of Security oversees the implementation of the security program of InterAction, in close collaboration with the Security Advisory Group, which consists of member representatives with responsibility for security for NGO operations in high-risk environments. The Director ensures that members of InterAction understand minimum operating security standards and assists them in taking steps to ensure compliance. The Director represents InterAction to other NGO security networks globally and to the United Nations. The position involves organizing and assessing security training programs, as well as assisting with field support and analysis as requested by members and agreed by the Security Advisory Group.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide overall leadership to the InterAction security program, in close collaboration with members and the Security Advisory Group.
2. Ensure that members of InterAction understand the minimum security operating standards and assist them with coming into compliance.
3. Direct members to training programs and other resources that enhance member capacity to provide security to their staff; evaluate training programs and opportunities as needed and appropriate.
4. Represent InterAction to the wider policy community on the delivery of humanitarian assistance in high-risk environments, including liaison with the United Nations, the European Interagency Security Forum, the Inter Agency Standing Committee, and other relevant institutions and networks.
5. At the request of members and with the approval of the Security Advisory Group, provide technical support to enhance member coordination on security in field settings.
6. Ensure that information on security incidents, trends, and training opportunities is available through the management of a password-protected website for InterAction members.
7. Liaise and assure timely and transparent communications with the Security Advisory Group.
8. Represent the InterAction security program to actual and potential donors; seek to expand the donor base for the program over time.
9. Supervise the Assistant Security Coordinator.
10. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Humanitarian Policy and Practice.

Candidate Requirements/Qualifications:
1. A minimum of ten years professional experience in international relief work, including five years in the field, at increasing levels of authority.
2. Overseas experience in the management of NGO staff safety and operational security.
3. Proven ability to manage and coordinate diverse individuals and institutions; prior experience with a membership organization and multi-agency coordination structures highly valuable.
4. Knowledge of current thinking and research on NGO security and risk management.
5. Knowledge of international networks among NGOs and the United Nations on security and risk management for humanitarian operations.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Solid administrative skills and commitment to complying with internal agency policies and procedures.
8. Availability for domestic and international travel.
Physical Requirements:
