Reflecting back on the pilot and the cold opening, I couldn't help thinking of the parallels between Saul's isolation in Nebraska and Walter White's in New Hampshire. Both scenes were cold and bleak, both men were pondering their dramatic falls from the heights they had achieved and both were thinking how do I reclaim my glory (which is always fleeting).

We already know how Walter handled it and I am in the tank for Saul to reach his opus.

Saul mentioned Nebraska in BB as a destination he'd flee to if he had to cut and run.

Also the opening shots had references to Omaha inside the Cinnabon.

Did my old eyes deceive me, or was that a S&W .50 S&W revolver?
Couldn't find anything bigger? Where's a DE when you need one?

At first I thought it was a Taurus Judge, but it's a frigging hand cannon as this picture proves and much larger. And I don't think Odenkirk needed to do much acting to look scared in this scene.

Looks like the bastard love-child of a Judge/Public Defender. Which would make it a faux pas as that weapon wasn't introduced until just a few years ago--not 2002 when BCS starts...

It's a Taurus Raging Judge - .454 Casull, .45 Colt, and .410 GA

Definitely a hand cannon at 3''

Good catch, kind of adds another link to the BCS/BB mapping since this guy was Tony's good friend.

I found that tidbit somewhere else, I wish I could say I noticed it. Tio was also in Scarface.

I just checked her IMDB page, she's carved out a pretty good niche for herself in TV and movies over the last 6 decades.

I remember her most from her role in Lone Star.

Yep, and I'm looking forward to seeing Hector later in BCS. As Mike said, "Nobody likes to leave home."

Good show.

If you don't have cable (we don't) and you have VPN overseas Netflix posts a new episode every Tuesday. There are three of them up now.
