#Columbuswasahero

Ahahaha. The latest in political Twitter frenzy. It appears conservatives are finally learning how this game is played. Salon went absolutely bonkers over it today. Well played, @Uncucktheright. Well played:

Quote:
But this hashtag isn’t newsworthy because it’s so full of misinformation. What is frightening is how truly flagrant all of this is. Right out there in public, people are saying things like Columbus “represents the adventurous spirit of the white race” and that he’s a hero for “making North America an extension of White / Western Civilization.” There’s nothing coded going on here, just a bunch of people openly and shamelessly asserting that white people are morally and intellectually superior to everyone else.

It’s yet another sign of the growing boldness of white supremacists online. As Keegan Hankes reported at the Southern Poverty Law Center back in March, white supremacists used to hide out at their own dedicated websites, such as Stormfront or the Vanguard News Network, but now those sites are losing membership. It’s not, however, because white supremacists are waking up en masse and giving up bigotry. It’s because they’ve moved to more mainstream venues, like Reddit, where openly racist subreddits became some of the most popular on the board. While Reddit has banned some of the most egregious offenders, but others continue to exist, if often behind a “quarantine,” which only means you need a verified email to read or post on them.

And increasingly, as this hashtag shows, the action is moving to Twitter, where white supremacists, seemingly inspired by Donald Trump’s popularity and other online hate movements like Gamergate, are seeking more attention and trying to get some of their ideas into the mainstream right. They’ve met with some success, such as popularizing the term “cuckservative” to describe Republicans perceived as insufficiently racist. The term has its origins in racist porn, and it’s gotten to the point where some nervous conservatives have pushed back out of fear that the conservative movement will be seen as embracing white supremacists. But Rush Limbaugh has been alluding to the term on his radio show, suggesting that stuffing that cat back in the bag might be a lost cause.

If a "cuckservative" is insufficiently racist then there's got to be a "bullservative" in the mix.

Just eww.

Dozens of cities are celebrating 'Indigenous Peoples Day', and my illustrious Governor Moonbeam just signed into law a ban on schools using the name Redskin. I wonder what they'd think of this?

#indigenouspeoplesday is being ruthlessly mocked.

Anybody bored tonight should fire up Tweetdeck and put in #Columbuswasahero and the above hashtag and just watch the fireworks. It is utterly hilarious. SJWs are getting their asses handed to them. Never seen this much mouth-froth from the left, because this time they are losing. The posts are like 10-1 in support of Columbus and each one is as vicious as can be. Lulz.

It really amazes me that Progressives and SJWs are so down on Columbus. After all, they follow the same formula that he did:

1. Discover/invade otherwise functional country/territory/society.

2. Impose your will on the indigs.

3. Rape, pillage and subjugate the society for your own benefit.

4. Demand that your subjects worship and appreciate you for your beneficence and for saving them from their own fucked up ideas.

Methinks that Sitting Bull is rolling in his grave and laughing his ass off at the fucked up outcome of the pale face in this nation.

PO the left

If you really want to PO the left just remind them there are no Native Americans (which is why they are going with Indigenous Peoples Day).

Everybody's ancestors were immigrants. Just and argument over when they got here and how.

Looks like this @Uncucktheright guy is the real deal. He's only got 1,800 followers but I see that changing rapidly, after the wild success of yesterday. He's the latest in this "Alt-Right" movement online, similar to @Thecuckservative. I wonder if these guys will supplant the Tea Party or merely be the online adjunct to it.

His latest plan is to get the hashtag #Coalitionofhate to go viral before the Democratic debate tonight, and then fill it with "hate facts" during the debate. The rationale is that leftists have formed a coalition that hates white people.

This guy is actually employing a coherent strategy to his Twitter attacks, and it seems to be working. And he writes random, funny shit like the below every couple of minutes:

Quote:
#GiveTwitterASlogan
Most women would be happier being a housewife than making PowerPoints for HR and getting pumped and dumped all the time

Sadly, the only people we see heavily engaged from the conservative side in social media are the extremists -- who like Trump, will gain a certain fanbase and hoopla, but are doomed to eventual ridicule and failure.

I wish that conservatives or libertarians would get with the program, dust off their computers that they use only to look at porn or their fav regurgitation news sites, and proudly get out there and proclaim they are for their cause and are going to push as hard as the hippie left.

Won't happen though. I think that most conservatives are fans of HoneyBooBoo and can't be disturbed from getting off of their sofas and the libertarians are too elitist to be bothered with actually doing anything with a society made up of people too stupid to know the libertarians are right....

Ha, I reminded all my SJW friends yesterday that while they were patting themselves on the back for celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day not to celebrate the ones who helped whitey track down and murder other Indigenous Peoples.

And to name more than 5 tribes, since they were as separate and distinct as European nations, and I bet they can name more than 5 of those.

I don't think Columbus was dumb. I think he was a huge fucking dickhead, but he was adventurous. Of course once he got here and started chopping off arms and raping women and throwing babies to the ground he should have had his head on a pike. Hell he even cheated the guy who saw land first out of the money he promised.

Salon is garbage and I'm a relatively progressive person. I'm not sure what qualifies someone to write there, but every essay or article I've read was clearly propagandized and had factual problems. I'm not sure if you guys are tracking on the whole Gamergate thing, but it literally spun out because some chick indie game programmer was essentially sleeping with game journalist in return for good reviews hence the 'gate' portion of the name. In calling a woman out in a male dominated field, and really being more interested in calling out the game journalist, they got labeled a hate group by certain people trying to create spin.

Also, well, how did the indigenous people who were inhabiting territory as of 1492 acquire their territory? Was it given to them by the great spirit as their piece of the pie, or did they conquer/acquire the territory through warfare, genocide and terrorism against other indigenous people? I'm not knocking them. That's what it took historically to survive and grow a population.

Every piece of ground on this Earth has been won and lost through the shedding of blood on a mass scale, or the perceived ability to do so since the beginning of organized civilization. The Americas were no different. No free lunches.

I read an article at work last night that said social media has ushered in the *age of the loud mouth*. So much noise and traffic.

All I have to say about their participation in politics is that the same sword always cuts twice.
